As immlass mentioned, I did indeed get laid off today (as did my Uberboss, the CTO and a couple dozen more of us). Considering that my big advantage was that I was working on an infrastructure improvement project and they killed all of those, it's not really a surprise.

Thanks to all of you for your kind words over there.

I am actively looking for work and I'm hoping to find something better.

I am late to the party, but obviously I agree with all those assembled. This sucks, good luck, and you seem to be handling this remarkably well, which speaks highly of you, as if you needed outside confirmation of how cool you are.
