Working Class Blues
Oct. 2nd, 2007 03:37 pmSo, in a friend's locked post, she was discussing corporate memos, specifically the kind encouraging attendance at Mandatory Fun Events™, which are not so great.
Someone suggested that we set the memo to folk music. I think we could put many, many corporate memos to folk music. After all, folk music should be about what people know, which for many of us is cubical life. Cubicantatas...
I am now imagining an entire CD of intracompany memos set to different musical styles. A song about "Open Benefits Enrollment" set to a Clash tune, "New hours for the employee cafeteria" as a christmas carol, "Rick's going away luncheon" as a madrigal, "Annual Performance Reviews will be delayed until Next Quarter" could be a waltz.
The entire back catalog of f'edcompany.com would work, really.
