Montrose Beer and Gun Club.

Based in the name, i figured it was a club for gay dudes to bench press all day, drink beer all night. I guess it's for literal, not figurative guns.

I just hope they're too drunk to cross I-10 in order to invade The Heights, because i live near the border.

Quite the contrary. It is an informal group composed of all walks of life, overwhelmingly heterosexual, although non-discriminatory in any fashion, including many residents of the Heights. It's primary purpose is conduct an Annual Cookoff contest and fund-raiser, the proceeds of which, for the past four or five years, have been donated to the Make A Wish Foundation. From this year's Cookoff, on Oct. 20., 2007, we raised over $15,000 with virtually no costs, as all participants contribute.
