Yesterday morning when I left the house at 7am, it was 65. This morning when I left the house at the same time it was 45 and I wore a jacket for the first time this fall.
I think tonight I bring my herbs inside.
And somedays I wish we had a little bit less of a steep downgrade from summer into COLD.
The irony of it is, we're still running the AC. The main one is just on fan, but the little one in our bedroom is actually cooling. Because we have only one openable window and if I have it open at night the d*mned crickets keep me awake. Plus allergies. And the room holds heat SO well that we weren't able to sleep. Sad, huh?
My air has been running too. The house gets downright hot without it. This morning though, I did shut it down and open windows. It's supposed to get realitvely warm again this afternoon though so we'll see if I make it through the day without it...
Sad? Yes. But I *like* things at a pretty constant temperature... What can I say?
Okay, I thought the sudden cold was just because I had flown 2000 miles away. (It was startlingly chilly when I got off the plane in Kansas tonight.) I'm actually pleased to hear it's coming to New York, since I kind of liked it. But I hope for your sake it STAYS RIGHT THERE for a bit, and doesn't get colder.
