Heh. I first used a mac in the summer of 1985. It was remarkable. "You mean we're programming in assembly and we have 128K? That's huge! And the assembly language has a multiply command? That's like a high level language feature..."
I'm right there with you. I've been trying to wrap my head around what my friends are going through, and I can't. Sending clothes to help the Katrina folks made me feel a little better, and then came Rita. Urgh.
Well, if the power goes out for more than a few days, you may have refugees on your hands. :)
