  • 01:25 I can't decide if it would be funnier to write a parody called "Pre-School Musical" or "Grad-School Musical"...

I wanted to do a remake once of La Grande Bouffe, with intermediate-school kids. Four friends swear blood-brother oaths and then lock themselves in the school cafeteria over the summer, gorging on school lunches and prefab crap like pizza squares, honey buns, sherbet push-pops and Dreamsicles, like I ate in the early 1970s. Another friend tells stories about Halloween pranks and other acts of epic vandalism, lame jokes, scary local legends, stuff grade-school boys like.

La Grande Bouffe was a parody of Salo', Pier Paolo Pasolini's dour filming of De Sade's 120 Days of Sodom.

The boys don't stuff themselves to death like the guys in La Grande Bouffe, let alone kill sex slaves one by one like in Salo'. maybe they take turns mashing food into milk cartons and daring each other to eat. I think they just eat themselves sick in a few days and get carried out in stretchers.

School daze...
