That's Mary Hammil Gestings and her highschool sweet heart Bobby Ritchie. From the stripes, that must have been taken just before his second tour in the Pacific theater. He never came back from that tour; officially, he died of lung cancer somewhere in the skies over the Marianas.
Mary Gestings eventually established herself at Little Hoss Tavern, downtown at the intersection of 4th and Red River. Starting out as a humble waitress in the 40s, she learned the business and bought the place in the late sixties when old Hoss Gabboro decided to retire. She kept the place running until complications arising from an ectopic pregnancy ended her life in 1973. The banks still held a lien on the tavern, and sold it to a business developer who had the place torn down.
