I don't recall if there's a jet engine with afterburner accessory (I'd have to check Uncle Al's), but it could certainly be a HDFOJ (Heavy Duty Flaming Orange Juice) weapon in an external armored pod.

All I can think of is how cool that would be as I cruise along the San Mateo Bridge to and from work every day. (Bridge = 7 miles, mostly straightaway)

Car was built to look as if VW delivered the car this way.

Boy, for that statement, the detail work on the jet tube is just LOUSY. Looks like Herr Frankenstein put it together!

I have always wanted to get a car like the one in Cannonball Run - the Mitsubishi with the rocket in the Hatch! This would work just as well.....
