Rock rock rock rock rock and roll high school.

We saw Rock and Roll High School tonight (yay, Netflix!), which I haven't seen in about twenty years. Given the amazing influence the Ramones had on the next twenty years and how well their stuff hold up, the movie was both fun an fascinating. Some bits were painful, but it's remarkably solid fun.

This is the TfOS setting that Random was born to be played in...

Okay, considering the fun you've had with that Random, I will add it to my own Netflix Queue. :)

****SPOILER ALERT*****

Roger Corman was right. In those more innocent times, you could write a rock song or a comedy about blowing up a school and not be arrested or psychoanalyzed. Lovely movie.

Amen, Brother. It wasn't that long ago, either. The Asylum Street Spankers have a song called "Sad Bomber", with the lovely lyrics "ever since the night you blew me off, I'm blowin' up the town". That one fell out of the playlists in late 2001.

I know I watched it, back in 1983 or so...

I can't say I remember much of it at all.

But, Ramones! So, fun!
