The Union of Three Restrictions
Some things can only be done with an administrative login.
Some things can only be done on my work-assigned laptop.
Some things can not be interrupted once they start, and take a long time to complete.
It is the union of those things that really sucks. My mail is nicely over there in my own domain account, as are my bookmarks, my IM client, etc. I can browse, but I have to remember where to go. I can use my mail in one browser window and the company mail in NetScape Communicator 4.79 (which stores it outside of Users, because it predates modern Windows conventions). I can use a web interface to AIM.
I can't get much done, but I can sit and babysit the long-running import process.
