You wuss! I sat through Alicia (Aug, '83) and lost power 3 days, but I got through 7 out of 10 pounds of venison--steak, burgers & sausage--before I had to throw the rest away. But I wouldn't eat any for years afterwards.

We only had 4 pounds, and the steaks looked like they were still cold.

We're currently in not-flood-ravaged New Jersey. In Texas, everything is bigger. Like freezers.
